Cosmic Trinket Tresses

I've renamed my Lady pins "Trinket Tresses" and decided to do them all on round backs from now on.

Here's the process for doing these: I start with a pre-baked circle of junk clay and sculpt a face on it, using white glass beads for eyes. After curing that, I add the hair (which is hand-rolled) and the beads at the same time, dust them with mica powder, and cure it again. Then I paint the face with heat-set oils, which have to be cured a third time. Finally, I add the pinback and cover the back with clay, which requires one last bake.

I got this one all done and baked before I realized I'd forgotten to dust her hair with silver powder. ::sigh:: I think she came out pretty nice anyway. I did a second one with the same color scheme. I might continue doing them until I run out of beads.
